- the playground rubber is in ideal condition.
- little to no lose granules means that it is likely at full installation thickness
- there is no obvious hardening.
- slight fading. given it's age and sun exposure, this is to be expected. After sealing, the color looks almost new
- the playground components are safe but require some attention.
- the 14 year old playground is still fully functional, but the decks and orange powdercoating shows signs of age.
- the plastic coated chain on the playground is cracking and should be replaced.
- the slide is sagging but does not require immediate replacement. however, since it will only need to be replaced once before the end of the playground's lifespan, it might make sense to perform that update at the same time as the other updates.
- after the repairs, the playground should last another 5 years. beyond this timeframe, the decks will require re-coating or replacement.
