we make a lot of cool playgrounds! here's one of our recent favorites...

'golden gate ave'

on this project we transformed a dusty San Francisco hillside, into a preschool paradise! 
as our customer put it, "This isn't a playground, it's a total overhaul!"

measure

we brought in our laser, took elevations, and worked up a 3D image of the space.  it might be difficult to tell from the picture, but this is a full complete topographical rendering of the space.

plan

we were able to use our 3D model to figure out how to most efficiently terrace the landscape and make everything wheelchair accessible.
by drawing everything ahead of time, we were able
​to take advantage of every inch of space

playground!

After we got the design just right, we made it happen!  Our customer is thrilled with the final product!

trike loop

In all my years of playground visits, I have learned that there are 2 things that 2-5 year olds can't get enough of:  Riding tricycles and getting messy.  Because we liked these teachers, we went for a beautiful trike loop!

there are a few ways to make a trike loop. when it comes to ​aesthetics and safety, nothing beats playground rubber.

ADA access

San Francisco has a lot of amazing old buildings.  Not all of them are ADA accessible, and we had a clever way to fix that. we took advantage of the slope of the street.  instead of an ADA ramp, we made and ADA sidewalk. (totally flat!)

turf

after choosing artificial grass for the playground safety surface, we decided to carry the grass look all the way across. old dead grass becomes a beautiful new turf lawn!

extras

a basic playground or swingset is great for the older kids, but for preschool age, we love to offer as many experiences, colors, textures and activities as possible.  in addition to everything else, we've got a large garden, flower boxes, lunch/art tables and a one-of-a-kind sandbox!
